But the use of LPG is becoming increasingly popular in commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors. This is why the demand of LPG is expected to rise sharply to around 360 milline tonnes by 2027. In 2016, LPG demand was only around 300 milline tonnes. This rapid growth of LPG is likely to come from two sectors—residential and petrochemicals.
